Customs and Border Protection is the gateway federal agency for all cargo imported into the United States.
Over the past decade, we have seen Customs evolve and demand more information earlier in the importation process. As CBP has changed their requirements, so we have changed how we work with our clients and provide that information to Customs.
We work with CBP from the pre-departure filings of the Importer Security Filing through the FDA Prior Notice and presentation of entry before the goods have arrived in the United States to insure a smooth, uninterrupted Customs clearances.
We file entries through the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), the system U.S. Customs and Border Protection uses to process imports and exports.
ACE lets us and our clients give Customs more information up front, which increases transparency and gives importers deeper reporting to better understand their supply chains.
